GoPlayground helps families find nearby playgrounds. We respect your privacy and keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
- Location: With your permission, your device location is used only to show playgrounds near you and to draw the map. It is processed on your device and sent to map/geocoding services to fetch nearby results — it is not stored on our servers or sold.
- Account (optional): If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email to identify your account. You can use the app as a guest without signing in.
- Usage & diagnostics: We use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand aggregate usage and to fix crashes. This includes app events, device model, OS version and anonymous identifiers.
- Favorites & settings: Your saved playgrounds, recent searches and preferences are stored locally on your device.
2. How We Use Information
- Show nearby playgrounds and directions.
- Sync your favorites when you are signed in.
- Improve reliability and performance (crash reports, analytics).
- Provide purchases (remove ads, offline maps) through the app stores.
3. Playground Data
Playground locations and details come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors) via the Overpass and Nominatim services. GoPlayground does not own this data and provides it for informational purposes.
4. Advertising
The free version may show ads via Google AdMob. Ads may use advertising identifiers to serve relevant content. You can remove ads with the in-app Premium purchase, or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings.

6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers above as needed to operate the app, and as required by law.
7. Children
GoPlayground is intended for parents and caregivers (adults). It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your Choices & Rights
- Deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
- Use the app as a guest, or sign out to stop syncing.
- Request deletion of your account data — see Account Deletion.
9. Data Retention
Local data (favorites, settings, cache) stays on your device until you clear it or uninstall the app. Analytics/crash data is retained per Google Firebase's standard retention settings.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
